<figure class="op-interactive"><div id="IVS_ABS_Body_Video_1_Container"> <ivs-player id="IVS_ABS_Body_Video_1" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-vid="1442947" data-ivs-floating="1"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/iframe-parent.js"></script> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script> </div></figure><p>MANILA - The Commission on Elections on Wednesday released a resolution in favor of a petition for recall sought by supporters of former San Juan Vice Mayor Francis Zamora.</p><p>In its Notice of Sufficiency of the Petition of Recall, Comelec approved the petition seeking a mayoralty election between Zamora and current mayor, Guia Gomez.</p><p>Among the requirements submitted by the petitioners was 30,000 signatures of San Juan residents, double the number needed for a recall election to move forward.</p><p>In an interview with Radyo Patrol, Zamora said Gomez should accept Comelec&#x27;s decision and that she has nothing to fear if she believes she won the 2016 elections legitimately.</p><p>Gomez has 3 days after receiving the notice to file a motion for reconsideration.</p>
