Bi deports 8 Japanese wanted in Japan but with 'fake cases' in PH

<div><br/></div><div> </div><p>MANILA — The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday said the Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deported 8 Japanese nationals involved in scams in their home country.</p><div> </div><p>Justice Assistant Secretary Mico Clavano said the deported Japanese were involved in crimes and modus operandi similar to the “Luffy” crime ring members who were deported last year.</p><div> </div><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/06/30/23/luffy-member-arrested-in-japan-after-deportation-from-ph">&#x27;Luffy&#x27; crime ring member arrested for ordering Japan robberies from PH</a></div><div> </div><p>“Just to clarify, hindi po sila kasama doon sa Luffy group. However, parehas po yung modus operandi nila.
