SAICT: Pagdaan ng convoy ni Quiboloy sa EDSA Busway, hindi otorisado

MAYNILA — Kinundena ng Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) ang 'di awtorisadong pagdaan ng convoy ni Apollo Quiboloy, lider ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), sa EDSA Busway patungo sa Senado.

Pumasok ang naturang convoy sa busway bandang Annapolis at 'di inalintana ang emergency barrier. Nagtagal ito roon hanggang marating ang Roxas Boulevard.

Bumiyahe papuntang Pasay si Quiboloy mula sa Philippine National Police Custodial Center sa Camp Crame sa Quezon City upang harapin ang mga alegasyon na human trafficking at pang-aabuso na ginawa umano niya sa ilang kababaihan at batang miyembro ng kanilang simbahan.

Ayon sa SAICT, inaasahang mahaharap ang mga drayber ng convoy sa violations of illegal use of the EDSA busway at reckless driving, alinsunod na rin sa ilalabas na show cause order (SCO) ng Land Transportation Office (LTO).

Umani rin ng batikos sa netizens ang pagpasok ng convoy sa busway.

Ang EDSA busway ay para sa mga otorisadong bus, sa matataas na opisyal tulad ng Pangulo ng Pilipinas, mga ambulansya at iba pang emergency response vehicle na tumutugon sa emergency, at mga service vehicle para sa maintenance ng busway mismo.
