<p>MANILA -- The Philippine Navy on Tuesday confirmed it has monitored the presence of two Chinese fishing vessels on the eastern side of Northern Luzon. </p><p>According to Navy Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad, the Chinese fishing vessels were &quot;out of the [country&#x27;s] territorial sea&quot; and are only two among the hundreds of foreign vessels being monitored every day. </p><p>&quot;This is not alarming. It is not only the Chinese fishing boats we have monitored. There are other fishing boats of other countries all over our EEZ, including ASEAN countries and the Pacific Island states,&quot; Trinidad told reporters in a press briefing at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City. </p><p>&quot;All factors are considered. But these are just part of the normal reports we get. Unless it will raise a concern on our side, then we give it more attention. But for normal fishing boats… we don&#x27;t give it special attention unless necessary,&quot; Trinidad noted.</p><p>&quot;Our monitoring tells us that CMMVs are in the West Philippine Sea. Fishing vessels are all around. CMMVs nasa WPS ito. Although on a normal day, these are fishing vessels that have been tapped to act as force multipliers of the PLA Navy,&quot; he added.</p>
