Former An Waray Party-list Rep. Bem Noel wants to return to the lower House as Malabon Lone District representative. Noel filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on the 5th day of filing at the Office of the Regional Election Director-National Capital Region (ORED-NCR). He is joined by wife, incumbent Malabon Rep. Josephine Lacson-Noel.Lacson-Noel is also set to file her COC for Malabon mayor.Noel will be up against former lawmaker Ricky Sandoval, who is the husband of incumbent and reelectionist Malabon Mayor Jeannie Sandoval.&quot;Ang Malabon will make sure that the best couple will win,&quot; Noel told reporters. The former lawmaker is also unfazed when asked about how the removal of An Waray Party-list from the House of Representatives will affect his candidacy in Malabon. &quot;It&#x27;s a different thing altogether sa local... I don&#x27;t think it will affect us, unless may external hand na gumalaw,&quot; Noel said. &#x27;TAKOT SA ASAWA&#x27; Incumbent Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro is seeking a comeback to represent Marikina&#x27;s 1st District. He believes that an integrated national flood mitigation program will solve flooding in Marikina and other parts of the country, which he hopes to turn into a legislation if he wins. Teodoro also shared a light moment with the media, saying he asked for permission from his wife before filing his COC. &quot;Umagang-umaga, nag-file na ako pagkapayag niya kagabi. Baka kasi magbago pa isip ng asawa ko. Wala nang atrasan ito. Pag siya na ang kalaban ko, delikado ako. Iyong asawa ko lang ang kinatatakutan ko,&quot; he said.Others who filed their COCs today include reelectionists Pasig Lone District Rep. Roman Romulo and Muntinlupa Lone District Rep. Jaime Fresnedi.Former lawmakers are also seeking a comeback, including Trisha Bonoan-David for Manila&#x27;s 4th District representative and Bingbong Crisologo QC 1st District. Meantime, former Caloocan Mayor Rey Malonzo is running for the city&#x27;s 1st District representative.He was accompanied by son PJ Malonzo, who is set to join the Caloocan vice mayoralty race. From Oct. 1 to 5, 47 lawmaker-aspirants have filed their COCs here.More aspirants and their supporters are expected to formalize their candidacies even on Sunday, Oct. 6.&quot;Ang advantage doon is that they can gather their supporters kasi most likely free iyan... Even tomorrow, we are expecting some candidates na magfi-file. We were informed na may mga supporters iyon... We already advised the PNP to prepare iyong traffic dyan tsaka iyong crowd,&quot; said Atty. Jovencio Balanquit, Assistant Regional Election Director of the Comelec-NCR.
