The Transportation Department has announced that five new stations under LRT-1’s Cavite Extension Project Phase 1 will be operational this November.

The new stations, which connect from Baclaran Station in Pasay City,  include Redemptorist-Aseana, MIA Road, PITX, Ninoy Aquino Avenue, and Dr. Santos (formerly Sucat).

The new stations, which add 6.1 kilometers to the current line, can service up to 80,000 additional passengers daily during the first year of operations.

The extension project is expected to reduce travel time from Quezon City to Paranaque by 30 minutes.
