Cebu Pacific on Saturday announced it has canceled over 20 flights on Sunday as precautionary measure due to super typhoon Pepito.

The local carrier said Pepito might cause disruptions in their flight operations as the super typhoon is bringing heavy rains and strong winds over many parts of Luzon.

"These conditions may cause flight delays, slower departure and arrival rates at the airports, and extended ramp activities for our ground personnel," Cebu Pacific said in a statement.

Cebu Pacific said affected passengers have been informed via email and provided with options.
