MANILA – ABS-CBN on Wednesday received a prestigious award from the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) In recognition of its key role in enhancing transparency and effectiveness in community information exchange. 

The recognition was presented at the Top-Level Strategic Communications Workshop at a hotel in Cubao, Quezon City. 

The award acknowledged the network’s collective efforts to enhance transparency and improve the effectiveness of information dissemination within the community, particularly in supporting government communication initiatives.

ABS-CBN News Reporter Bianca Dava represented Carlo Katigbak, the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ABS-CBN Corporation, in accepting an award. The award was presented by Retired Lieutenant General Benjamin Madrigal Jr., Deputy Director General of the National Security Council (NSC), who represented National Security Adviser Eduardo Ano at the ceremony.

The event highlighted ABS-CBN’s significant contribution to enhancing government communication. It emphasized the network's efforts in promoting a well-informed and resilient society, especially during challenging times.

The NTF-ELCAC recognized the network’s pivotal role in supporting public understanding and promoting informed discourse across the nation.
