At the resumption of a House panel's probe into the fund utilization of Vice President Sara Duterte's office on Tuesday (November 5), a lawmaker flagged what he described as "bogus" receipts that contain the same typographical error.
"Isn't it strange?" 1-Rider Party-list Rep. Rodge Gutierrez said, when he pointed out that 158 acknowledgment receipts submitted by the Office of the Vice President to the Commission on Audit were dated 2023, when they were supposedly transactions made in 2022.
COA audit team leader Gloria Camora said the OVP had earlier explained that the receipts "inadvertently contained clerical or typographical errors indicating 2023 instead of 2022."
