Donald Trump following his projected victory in the U.S. presidential elections.</div><p>In a statement, he said that the American people triumphed “which showed the world the strength of American values.”</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/world/2024/11/6/trump-wins-white-house-in-stunning-comeback-1843">READ: Trump wins White House in stunning comeback</a></div><p>The president noted that he looks forward to working with the soon-to-be president on various issues “that will yield mutual benefits to two nations with deep ties, shared beliefs, common vision, and a long history of working together.”</p><p>“I am hopeful that this unshakeable alliance , tested in war and peace, will be a force of good  that  will blaze a path of prosperity and  amity, in the region, and in both sides of the Pacific,” Marcos said.</p><p>Marcos Jr. also described the Philippine-U.S. ties as a “durable partnership” which the Philippines is fully committed to, saying that the relationship is founded on shared ideals —freedom and democracy.</p><p>“I have personally met President Trump as a young man,  so I know that his robust leadership will result in a better future for all of us.
