MANILA - Senator Christopher "Bong" Go on Thursday denied allegations that he was involved in the operations of the Davao Death Squad vigilante group.

Self-confessed former Davao Death Squad (DDS) hitman Arturo Lascañas earlier claimed Go was involved in illegally obtaining personal information of the targets of the death squad.

"Pure lies and fabrications---plain and simple. Walang ganyang order na ibinigay si dating pangulong Duterte. Even since when he was still the mayor of Davao City, never nagbigay ng ganyang klaseng order si PRRD. Kailanman ay wala siyang inutos sakin na iligal," Go, who was a longtime aide of former president Rodrigo Duterte, said in a statement.

He also said the issue is just rehashed, and no evidence has shown his alleged involvement.

"Ito naman ay isang rehashed issue lamang. Paulit-ulit na binabalita, wala namang pruwebang napapakita. Walang napapatunayan, kasi hindi totoo!" Go said.

"Kung may katotohanan sa sinabi niya at may tunay na pagkakasala kami, dapat noon may nakasuhan na. Lumang tugtugin na yan, estilo nilang bulok para tapunan ng putik ang iba upang magmukhang malinis sila," he added. 

Aside from Go, Lascañas also implicated Vice President Sara Duterte and Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa in the vigilante group.
