The National Capital Region Police Office on Tuesday dismissed from service 10 police officers who were involved in alleged irregularities in a police raid on a condominium unit in Parañaque City last September.

According to an NCPRO document acquired by ABS-CBN News, the following police officers were dismissed due to grave misconduct, grave irregularity in the performance of duty, grave neglect of duty, conduct unbecoming of a police officer, less grave misconduct and less grave neglect of duty:

The inquiry stemmed from House Resolution 1471 filed by Antipolo City 2nd District Representative Romeo Acop, which cited information that four Chinese nationals were allegedly unlawfully arrested by police in Paranaque City last September, and that P2 million was allegedly requested per arrested Chinese national to “settle” the case.
Of the 45 police personnel investigated by the PNP over the reported irregularities in the incident, 34 were under summary dismissal proceedings, according to NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. - with a report from Raffy Santos, ABS-CBN News
