<p>Cultural authorities reassured senators that the Post Office building will not be demolished and will not be sold to the private sector.</p><div><br/></div><p>Victorino Manalo, chairperson of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, told a Senate special committee that the restored building in the future may be used as a mixed-use arts center with the Manila post office maintaining its operations.</p><div><br/></div><p>Postmaster General Luis Carlos said he agreed to the proposal.</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
