MANILA (UPDATED) — A man was killed outside an industrial park in Calamba, Laguna on Saturday afternoon after being shot by a member of the park staff who said he and his brother weren't allowed to rest in the area.

According to an initial police report, the two men, identified as service workers, were resting beside the fence of an industrial park in Barangay Batino on Saturday afternoon when security personnel tried to drive them away.

Video of the incident showed the men arguing that they were not on park premises and should be allowed to rest in the area, which was along the South Luzon Expressway.

The heated argument led to one of the security guards shooting the victim and killing him, police said.

Video of the incident shows the worker was shot without warning.

According to police, the two security guards — identified only by aliases — tried to flee through the industrial park's main gate.

One suspect was arrested by police officers from the Calamba Component City Police Station.

The other suspect surrendered to the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group on Sunday morning.
