Gacasan was arrested in Bukidnon after selling fake bank notes to a CIDG agent in a buy-bust operation on November 10, 2018.

Gacasan was caught in possession of 100 pieces of fake P1,000 bills and 25 pieces of fake P500 bills, which authorities said were counterfeit.

Citing BSP data, Supreme Court said the central bank has conducted 129 anti-counterfeiting operations with law enforcement agencies, and arrested 212 suspects involved in counterfeiting dollars.
