Members of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Tagbilaran City, Bohol rescued on Thursday morning a reticulated python found inside a house.

According to Fire Chief Inspector Matt Reil Pono, Fire Marshall of the Tagbilaran City Fire Station, the snake was found at Graham Street, Purok 3, Barangay Booy.

They received a report that the snake was nestled near a stack of stuffed toys and pillows in the house.

The Tagbilaran BFP dispatched a team to rescue the python, which was more than two meters long.

“Upon arrival, they were able to immediately capture the snake and it was identified as a non-venomous Philippine Reticulated Python,” wrote BFP Tagbilaran in a post.

They placed the python in a sack and turned it over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

DENR 7 said that the mating season for snakes is until the month of April. The extreme heat is also forcing them to come out of their natural habitat.
