We cannot go to UNCLOS to complain. So if we shift the activity to a civilian activity and China stops our resupply, then we can go the tribunal again,&quot; Carpio said. <br/><br/>Carpio added that the risky maneuvers being conducted by the China Coast Guard against Philippine vessels are dangerous and contrary to international law, but UNCLOS&#x27;s hands are tied because these military activities fall outside their jurisdiction. <br/><br/>In Scarborough Shoal, which the tribunal declared a common fishing ground, the Philippines can push for the establishment of fishing rules with Vietnam and China, he said.</span></p><div><span dir="ltr"><a data-fr-linked="true" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/3/6/us-calls-on-china-to-stop-dangerous-actions-vs-philippines-957​">US calls on China to stop &#x27;dangerous&#x27; actions vs Philippines</a><br/><br/>If China refuses to participate, it could be brought back to the tribunal so that they can establish fishing regulations, such as specifying the amount of tonnage each country can catch per year, Carpio said.<br/><br/>If China continues its use of water cannons and dangerous maneuvers against the country&#x27;s supply boats, the Philippines can consider increasing the number of Philippine Coast Guard ships accompanying the resupply missions, and the Philippines and the US may decide to conduct joint patrols in the area until China desists, he added.<br/><br/>Carpio also mentioned that the issue in the West Philippine Sea should be brought to the United Nations.<br/></span></div><div><span dir="ltr"><br/>&quot;In UN, we will say China should be condemned in violating the basic principles of UN Charter in using threat of force for other countries.
