MANILA -- Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri on Wednesday reported that three more senators have signed the “Statement of Support” for his leadership, making the number of signatories 17.

“Maybe dahil nga sa stress natin in the last few months about yung charter change, yung PI. Siguro sa stress po natin hindi natin sila (senators) nakakausap kaagad, sa mga concerns nila, dahil nga the institution is under threat,” Zubiri admitted.

Zubiri also confirmed that a number of senators have questioned the sudden inclusion of additional Commission on Elections budget which will reportedly be used for People’s Initiative, as well as on the unnoticed entry of AKAP (Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program).
