Dalawa silang kinasuhan, pay fine tapos i-deport na lang. &#x27;Yung ibang Pilipinong transgender na nasa Bangkok ay nagsisi-uwian na kasi mainit eh. Kasi binabantaan sila ng mga Thai transgender,&quot; he said in a TeleRadyo Serbisyo interview.</p><p>(What will happen is the assailants, the Filipino transgenders will be asked to pay bail or a fine. They were both charged, they will pay a fine and will be deported. The other Filipino transgenders in Bangkok have gone home because they were being threatened by Thai transgenders.)</p><p>De Vega said there had been tension between the two groups of transgenders, which exploded in a brawl at the Bangkok red light district last March 4. </p><p>He urged Filipinos abroad to always be respectful of locals in the host countries.  </p><p>&quot;Nananawagan tayo sa ating mga kababayan, pag nasa abroad tayo, huwag makipag-away sa mga locals kasi teritoryo nila &#x27;yun. Importante na &#x27;yung magandang pangalan ng mga Pilipino sa ibat-ibang bansa ay ma-maintain natin,&quot; he said.</p><p>(We call on our countrymen, when you are abroad not to fight with the locals because that is their territory. </style><p>Thai media and netizens reported that police were dispatched on Monday night due to reports of more than a hundred Thai transgender sex workers gathered outside the hotel where the Filipinos were checked in, due to a &quot;turf war.&quot;</p><p>Viral videos of the incident showed that the situation immediately turned chaotic when the Filipinos were brought out of the hotel and the Thai mob breached the police line.</p><p>The clash continued up to the local police station.</p><p>About 20 other transgender Filipinos also either left their hotel and transferred or went home to the Philippines after receiving threats.</p><p>The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok reported that the Filipinos were all tourists and that Thai police are investigating if they were illegally working in Thailand. </p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/3/6/thai-police-investigate-2-filipino-transgenders-after-brawl-956" id="isPasted" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Thai police investigate 2 Filipino transgenders after brawl</a></div><div><br/></div>
