The lane with the sinkhole has been barricaded to divert traffic. <em>Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA -- A sinkhole discovered along <span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(65, 65, 65);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">Sales Road in Pasay City</span> on Sunday prompted the closure of a portion of the eastbound lane to vehicles. </p><p>The closed section is from Gate 3 to Gate 4 of Villamor Airbase, limiting eastbound traffic to a single lane. </p><p>To ease the inconvenience for motorists, a zipper lane has been established on Andrews Road to facilitate the smooth passage of vehicles. Staff from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) have been deployed to oversee and assist motorists navigating the area. </p><p>Contractors from Maynilad are working to pump water from the sinkhole and excavate the affected road section to locate Maynilad pipes and assess for potential leaks. </p><p>The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Pasay Local Government Unit (LGU) have not yet provided a statement regarding the cause of the sinkhole.</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
