<p>MANILA - ACT Teachers Party-List Representative France Castro reacted to the Department of Education’s guidelines for the alternate uniform for teaching and non-teaching personnel during the dry season.</p><p>Based on a photo released by the DepEd, school personnel are allowed to wear collared DepEd polo shirts used in DepEd events and activities, which include those in colors white, red and green.</p><p>&quot;Parang mayroong political meaning ‘yan ah, ‘yung kulay na ‘yan- red and green,” Castro said.</p><p>(There seems to be a political meaning there, the colors red and green.)</p><p>“Sana pabayaan na lang ‘yung teachers at saka mga non-teaching personnel na pumili ng kulay na gusto nila para maging mas komportable sila ngayong panahon tag-init. ‘Wag nalang gamitin ‘yung may mga political meaning noong last elections. Kasi baka pag-isipan pa ang DepEd ng maagang pangangampanya sa eleksyon,” she added.</p><p>(Hopefully, the teachers and non-teaching personnel are allowed to choose the color they want to wear so they will be more comfortable this dry season. Don&#x27;t use what has political meaning from the last elections. </style><p>DepEd on Monday posted guidelines regarding alternate uniforms on its Facebook page, where it said teachers and non-teaching personnel can wear collared polo shirts used in past DepEd events like Brigada Eskwela, Palarong Pambansa, etc.</p><p>They can also wear a white collared polo shirt with the DepEd and MATATAG logo.</p><p>Said shirts can be paired with “matte black pants” following the guidelines earlier released by the Civil Service Commission.</p><p>The colors shown in the photos were white, red and green, but aside from the white polo shirt mentioned by DepEd, no other “prescribed” colors were mentioned in the post.</p>
