MANILA — The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday urged the public to be vigilant against an email posing as Health Sec. Ted Herbosa.

In an advisory, the agency said "this email is not owned by the Secretary of Health. Furthermore, any statements comments, and transactions made by this email does not represent Secretary Herbosa."

The agency also warned of criminal charges against said posts and messages.

"The DOH continues to enjoin the public to source information only from legitimate sources and platforms such as the health department, which can be accessed through the links and social media handles below," it added.

The Health department's official social media pages are DOHgovph on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) and @doh.philippines on Instagram, while its website can be accessed through www.doh.gov.ph.
