MANILA -- While fewer areas in the Philippines are seen to experience extremely high heat indices, uncomfortably hot weather will still prevail in many areas, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday.

PAGASA Chief of the Climate Monitoring and Prediction Section Ana Liza Solis told ABS-CBN News that the next two weeks, compared to April, will most likely see fewer areas experiencing high heat indices.

Based on data, nine areas have logged temperatures which have surpassed previous records for the month of April. Out of the nine areas, six have seen the mercury reach all-time high levels. These include Clark in Pampanga; San Jose, Occidental, Mindoro; Casiguran, Aurora; Sangley Point, Cavite; Malaybalay, Bukidnon and NAIA in Pasay City.
Based on data, nine areas have logged temperatures which have surpassed previous records for the month of April. Out of the nine areas, six have seen the mercury reach all-time high levels.
