MANILA – A total of P59.8 billion or 78.92 percent of COVID health emergency allowance has been distributed to the country’s healthcare workers.

In a Facebook post, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said this is based on his second State of the Nation Address promise, dedicated to the healthcare workers who have been at the forefront of the battle against COVID-19.

The announcement also landed on the same day as the Health Workers' Day, recognizing the sacrifices of health workers who labored during the pandemic.
