MANILA — The Department of Budget and Management on Tuesday said it approved the creation of 89 permanent positions in the National Museum of the Philippines.

The DBM said the move to create plantilla positions in various units of the National Museum across the country would support the agency's existing staff and enhance its operations.

The budget department also approved the reclassification and conversion of certain positions to support the National Museum in performing essential functions such as providing lectures or gallery talks, preparing reports and other documents, and undertaking other technical and general support-related tasks.

"We believe that these organizational and staffing changes will significantly enhance the National Museum’s operations, allowing the agency to better serve the public and fulfill its mission to preserve and promote our cultural heritage," DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said in a release.
