Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo in a Senate hearing in Pasay City on May 22, 2024. <em>Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA -- A former associate of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo surfaced on Sunday to debunk reports relating to the woman who has been tagged as possibly the mayor&#x27;s biological mother.</p><p>Nancy Gamo, a former &quot;consultant&quot; of Guo, said that the woman who has been tagged as the Bamban mayor&#x27;s mother is merely a girlfriend of Guo&#x27;s father. </p><p>Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian named a certain &quot;Lin Wen Yi&quot; being introduced as Guo&#x27;s mother in Valenzuela where the Guos used to run a business.</p><p>&quot;&#x27;Yung mine-mention nilang mother ni Mayor Alice, hindi po n&#x27;ya nanay &#x27;yun kundi partner lang po ng tatay niya at isa po siya sa incorporators sa korporasyon niya,&quot; said Gamo in an interview on Teleradyo Serbisyo on Sunday.</p><p>&quot;Nakita ko na siya ng personal &#x27;pag ako nagpapa-pirma ng mga articles of incorporation, nakikita ko na pumipirma siya... Risa Hontiveros on Thursday also revealed documents showing that a certain &quot;Lin Wen Yi&quot; lived in the same address as Guo. </p><p>Guo came under fire for her alleged link to a Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) raided by authorities early this year.</p><p>The Senate also scrutinized the Bamban mayor&#x27;s personal background on suspicions that she might be a Chinese citizen.</p><p>Gamo also denied Guo&#x27;s involvement in POGO operations.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/5/30/who-is-mayor-alice-guo-s-biological-mom-1723">READ: Who is Mayor Alice Guo&#x27;s biological mom?</a></div><p>&quot;Wala po (siyang kinalaman). Hanggang doon lang po,&quot; she said.</p><p>Gamo claimed that she is voluntarily surfacing, without being prompted by Guo&#x27;s camp.
