MAYNILA — Bubuksan na sa publiko ang Phase 1 ng LRT-1 Cavite Extension bago mag-Pasko, ayon sa Light Rail Manila Corporation.

Sisimulan ang operasyon ng limang train stations na tatakbo mula Baclaran Station sa Pasay hanggang Dr. Santos Station sa Parañaque City.

Ayon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), mas madali nang mapupuntahan ang Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange at Ninoy Aquino International Airport dahil sa mga bagong istasyon na MIA Road at Asia World.

Inaasahang nasa 50,000 pasahero ang makikinabang sa implementasyon nito.

Dagdag ng DOTr, makababawas ito sa traffic lalo na ngayong holiday season.

Sa taong 2031 pa inaabangang matatapos ang kabuuang LRT-1 Cavite Extension na tatakbo hanggang Bacoor.
