Ronald &quot;Bato&quot; dela Rosa, who implemented former President Rodrigo Duterte&#x27;s bloody drug war, conceded Thursday that human rights violations were committed at the height of controversial anti-drug campaign.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/6/27/marcos-says-de-lima-acquittal-proof-that-justice-system-is-working-1257">• Marcos to ICC: De Lima acquittal proof that PH justice system &#x27;working properly&#x27;</a></div><p>&quot;Hindi ko sinabi na walang nangyayaring human rights violation during the war on drugs, aminado tayo diyan na merong mga kaso na talagang na-violate yung right ng tao,&quot; said Dela Rosa, who served as Philippine National Police (PNP) chief during the launch of Duterte&#x27;s drug war.</p><p>But Dela Rosa said that cops who were proven to have abused their powers were eventually convicted. </p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/6/19/doj-conviction-of-4-cops-in-caloocan-drug-war-killing-shows-justice-system-works-1416">• DOJ: Conviction of 4 cops in Caloocan drug war killing shows justice system works</a></div><p>&quot;Nakasuhan nga yung mga pulis, di ba? Kaya nga na-convict yung mga pulis na yun di ba?&quot; Dela Rosa said.</p><p>Duterte&#x27;s drug war, which killed thousands of alleged drug addicts according to human rights groups, is currently under probe by the International Criminal Court (ICC).</p><p>However, Dela Rosa urged critics of the drug war to just file cases against them in Philippine courts.</p><p>&quot;If they have the goods, they have the evidence, then why not file in court?&quot; Dela Rosa said.</p><p>He also cited the House of Representatives&#x27; ongoing probe into the drug war as proof that the ICC do not need to intervene. </p><p> &quot;Ako ay nagpapasalamat sa kanila sa ginagawa nilang imbestigasyon...
