MANILA — The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) on Wednesday launched the "Bantay Benepisyo at Karapatan" hotline to monitor if teachers are given their mandated "uninterrupted break" in June.

Teachers who wish to send a complaint may text or call the ACT's hotline numbers 0956-913-0778 and 0968-480-1168. They may also contact the group through its email address actphilippines@gmail.com and its official Facebook page.

ACT is also open to receiving anonymous tips from teachers who wish to hide their identities.

Through the hotline, ACT also hopes to monitor the DepEd's implementation of the overload pay it promised to the teachers.

"Bahagi rin nito na matuloy-tuloy ang kampanya natin sa service credit din na matanggal din ang 15 days na limit kasi sa karanasan ng mga teacher, doon pa lang sa school days na araw na pinapapasok tuwing Sabado, Linggo at holiday, at iyong iba pang mga araw, ay kulang talaga iyong 15 days sa buong school year. What more doon sa mga araw doon sa July 1 to 30, sosobra talaga. So kapag sumobra ka sa thank you nalang iyon na nawawala ang purpose ng overtime at overload pay," Bernardo added.
