MANILA — Commission on Elections (Comelec) chief George Garcia and former lawmaker Edgar Erice have threatened to file legal actions against each other over accusations surrounding the poll body's contract with South Korean firm Miru.

On Monday, Erice, a former House representative of Caloocan, presented what he called the “Bahamas Files,” which supposedly contains the list of 14 bank accounts amounting to $15 million or some P877 million belonging to a Comelec official and his wife.

Garcia, meanwhile, questioned the absence of the banks’ official logo or letterhead enumerated in the "Bahamas Files." Later, Garcia showed a LandBank certification stating the identified account number in the Bahamas Files is "non-existent."
