MANILA — The Supreme Court on Tuesday announced that 183 out of 853 examinees passed the 2024 Shari’ah Bar Examinations held in April and May.

Nurhaifah Hadji Said Punginagina topped the exams with a rating of 86.75 percent, followed by Sittie Nasriyyah Gani Gubat with 86.10 percent rating, and Sittie Fairoza Yahya Alonto with a rating of 86.025 percent.

This year’s Shari’ah Bar exams was the first digitalized and regionalized special exams for the Shari’ah courts.

Similar to the regular Bar Examinations, the 2024 SBE used the computer-based program Examplify.

This is also the beginning of the yearly conduct of the SBE, as it was previously held only every other year.

The Shari'ah Bar is the professional licensure examination covering Islamic law administered by the Supreme Court.
