Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA -- The House of Representatives is ready for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.&#x27;s third State of the Nation Address on July 22, according to House Speaker Martin Romualdez.&quot;The anticipation within the hallowed halls of this august chamber is palpable as we stand ready to hear and appreciate the accomplishments of the Marcos administration,&quot; he said in a statement.&quot;It fills me with immense pride to recognize the significant role that the House of Representatives has played in crafting legislation and policies that promote the welfare of all Filipinos. We are excited for the President&#x27;s SONA because we know he has many positive developments to share with the nation,&quot; Romualdez added.The SONA is expected to tout the achievements of the Marcos Jr. administration and outline the President&#x27;s plans for his remaining years in office.&quot;This important address will provide a comprehensive overview of the administration&#x27;s progress and set the stage for future legislative initiatives that will shape the nation&#x27;s path forward,&quot; Romualdez said.&quot;We, at the House of Representatives, are united with the President in his desire to advance the many reforms and programs he will announce during the SONA. Inflation is down to 3.7 percent, within the target range. Unemployment is at 4.1 percent, strong considering our high interest rates. Growth is at 5.7 percent, solid considering China&#x27;s slowdown and the generally hostile global conditions… In other words, the President can resolutely say that things are getting and are about to get better,&quot; Salceda noted.KABAYAN Party List Representative Ron Salo, meanwhile, expressed hope that the protection of the rights and the promotion of the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers will be highlighted in the President&#x27;s SONA. He also called for the immediate passage of the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers.
