France Castro, former Bayan Muna representative Satur Ocampo, and the rest of the &quot;Talaingod 13&quot; have formally notified Tagum City Regional Trial Court Branch 2 of their plan to appeal their conviction before the Court of Appeals.</p><p>In their Notice of Appeal received by the court on July 22, the group prayed that their notice would be given due course so that the case would be elevated to the CA.</p><p>Included in the &quot;Talaingod 13&quot; are Ma. Eugenia Victoria Nolasco, Jesus Madamo, Meriro Poquita, Maricel Andagkit, Marcial Rendon, Marianie Aga, Jenevive Paraba, Nerhaya Talledo, Ma. Concepcion Ibarra, Nerfa Awing, and Wingwing Daunsay.</p><p><span></span>In a statement, Castro noted that it was their group that rescued the Lumad students from the supposed militarization of the Salugpungan Ta Tanu Ingkanogan Community Learning Center, Inc. in 2018 in Talaingod, Davao del Norte.</p><p>Castro stressed that the military, paramilitary groups and the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict were the &quot;perpetrators of harassment&quot; and yet they were the ones charged in court.</p><p>&quot;Where is the justice in that?
