Medyo mas delikado po yun. Kung narinig na po natin na medyo tumataas na, unahan na po natin, pumunta na po tayo doon sa mga designated na lugar na binibigay ng LGU and… magmonitor sa update ng PAGASA,” hydrologist Elmer Caringal said.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/7/24/streets-turnedari-into-rivers-as-typhoon-carina-hits-philippines-1200" id="isPasted">Streets turn into rivers as Typhoon Carina hits PH </a></div><p> According to PAGASA’s Hydrological Situationer for La Mesa Dam issued at 12:00 noon:</p><p>“The water level of La Mesa Dam as of 11:50 AM is 79.41 meters and is expected to rise due to continuous occasional rains caused by the Southwest Monsoon. Excess flood waters in La Mesa Dam will overflow in the event that the dam elevation reaches 80.15 m. </p><p>“Water from LA MESA Dam is expected to affect the low-lying areas along the Tullahan River from Quezon City (Fairview, Forest Hills Subd., Quirino Highway, Sta. Quiteria, and San Bartolome), Valenzuela (Brgy. Ligon, North Expressway, La Huerta Subdivision and Malabon.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/7/24/marcos-p2-88-m-in-aid-prepositioned-for-victims-of-typhoon-carina-912" id="isPasted">Marcos: P2.88-B in aid prepositioned for Typhoon Carina response</a></div><p>“All the residents living in the aforementioned areas, especially those near the river banks, are advised to be alert for possible flooding,” PAGASA said.</p><p>“The PAGASA shall continue to monitor the hydrological condition of the La Mesa Dam and provide an update to the concerned agencies and LGUs.”</p>
