MANILA — After being arrested and detained in the Senate, accountant Nancy Gamo faced the inquiry on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) on Monday, saying suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo lied when she denied knowing her.

According to Gamo, she has known Guo since 2012 and worked on a project basis in registering her companies -- including the Bamban POGOs Hong Sheng and Zun Yuan.

Gatchalian suggested the inclusion of a recommendation to file a disobedience to summons case against Guo in the Committee Report, which will be crafted when the hearings wrap up.

Solicitor General Menardo Guevarra, meanwhile, said his office has filed a quo warranto case against Guo on Monday. Guevarra thanked the Committee for its investigation, which helped them beef up the case.

As for the Anti-Money Laundering Council, Director Atty. Emmett Manantan said their investigation will take a few more months, but they have allegedly seen that Guo is involved in money laundering and is both recipient and sender of illicit money.
