MANILA — The Sandiganbayan Third Division found guilty several individuals including former officers of some dissolved Government-Owned and Control Corporation for graft and malversation of public funds charges in connection with the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam.

This particular case involves the PDAF of former Misamis Occidental First District Rep. Marina Clarete from 2007 to 2009.
According to case records, Clarete requested the Department of Budget and Management to release her PDAF to the National Agribusiness Corporation (NABCOR), National Livelihood Development Corporation (NLDC), and the Technology Resource Center (TRC) as the "implementing agencies" of her PDAF-funded livelihood projects in Misamis Occidental.
After this, she endorsed Kabuhayan at Kalusugang Alay sa Masa Foundation, Inc. (KKAMFI), Kasangga sa Magandang Bukas Foundation, Inc. (KMBFI), at Aaron Foundation Philippines Inc. (AFPI) as "project partners" in the implementation of the projects.
Among those found guilty by the Sandiganbayan were former NABCOR vice president for administration and finance Rhodora Mendoza, sentenced to up to 170 years in prison; human resource supervisor Encarnita Munsod, sentenced to 87 years in prison; general services supervisor Victor Cacal, sentenced to 43 years in prison; support services manager Romulo Relevo, sentenced to 43 years in prison; and bookkeeper Maria Ninez Guañizo, sentenced to 43 years in prison.
The Sandiganbayan also found six former officials of the NLDC guilty, including former president Gondelina Amata, sentenced to up to 83 years in prison; Assets Management Group director Emmanuel Sevidal, sentenced to 83 years in prison; Finance and Administrative Group director Chita Jalandoni, sentenced to up to 83 years in prison; asset management division chief Gregoria Buenaventura, sentenced to up to 83 years in prison; chief budget specialist Ofelia Ordoñez, sentenced to 83 years in prison; and chief financial analyst Sofia Cruz, sentenced to up to 51 years in prison.
