“October 30 was just declared a national charity (day) and I thought it would be most fitting to launch everything… PCSO intends to cover the professional fee of doctors. Whereas before, we only cover the hospitals, the room, at hindi pa nga lahat ng room. And now, we will cover the professional fees of doctors,” Robles said in a press conference.

With that… and then PhilHealth pa, so, parang halos wala ng cash out ang ating mga indigent patients kahit sa private hospitals,” Tulfo added.

Ngayon ‘yung mga doktor they would usually just accept a promissory note.

“So ‘yun ang unang dahilan kaya kung minsan ‘yung mga ibang doktor hindi tinatanggap ‘yung kaso, dahil nga alam nila na wala naman makukuhang PF, so they would suggest going to the government hospitals,” he added.

“Well, we are very happy with this agreement, kasi we do trust the PCSO. We have a long history of being beneficiary of the PCSO grants and so alam namin, at least ngayon, alam na namin na mayroon darating for those promissory notes,” Santos noted.
