<p>MANILA <strong>(CORRECTED)</strong> — Moving the celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day to a more &quot;convenient date&quot; would do little to diminish the legacy of the slain senator, according to Aquino&#x27;s family.</p><p>The Aquino family reacted to Malacanang&#x27;s decision moving the celebration of Ninoy Aquino Day from Aug. 21 to Aug. 23.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/8/15/marcos-moves-ninoy-aquino-day-to-august-23-2026" id="isPasted">Marcos moves Ninoy Aquino Day to August 23 </a> </div><p>President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday issued Executive Order No. 665 to delay by a couple of days the nonworking holiday commemorating the 1983 assassination of former Sen.
