MANILA — Both the San Juan City Hall employee and Sen. Jinggoy Estrada broke their silence Sunday after a confrontation between the two made rounds online.According to Pia Gil, a supervising and administrative officer for the office of the mayor in San Juan City, the encounter happened way back in April 2024 at the San Juan Gym when it was being repurposed as an evacuation center for fire victims.&quot;Sinigawan niya lang ako ng &#x27;Hoy. Hoy, Pia Gil.&quot; Tiningnan ko na lang siya tapos lumakad pa rin ako palayo kasi ayaw ko ng encounter sa kanya dahil parang mainit nga ang ulo niya. Parang galit na galit nga siya sa tono pa lang ng pananlita niya,&quot; Gil said in TeleRadyo Serbisyo&#x27;s Story Outlook.&quot;Hinabol niya ako saying na hinaharang ko daw &#x27;yung mga tao niya — which is hindi naman totoo. Kasi unang-una, wala naman akong function doon sa evacuation center. Ang trabaho ko ay nasa labas naglilinis kami ng listahan ng mga pamilyang nasunugan na kailangan namin i-submit sa DSWD kasi magkaroroon ng financial assistance release in the followng morning,&quot; she added.On the same program on Sunday night, Estrada said the encounter happened after he told his staff to get a copy of the fire victims but was allegedly denied entry to the evacuation center.&quot;Noong pumunta &#x27;yung staff ko, ayaw papasukin. Nagpakilala nang from office ko ah. Ang sabi raw, bawal humingi, bawal kumuha ng tulong sa mga Estrada. Bumalik sa akin &#x27;yung staff ko at sinabing bawal daw kumuha ng tulong sa mga Estrada. Utos daw ng mayor. So medyo nairindi &#x27;yung tenga ko, pumunta na ako doon. Tapos kinukwestyon ko bakit ayaw magpabigay ng tulong pagkagaling sakin,&quot; the senator said in TeleRadyo Serbisyo&#x27;s Story Outlook.Estrada also said he finds the recent release of the video to be &quot;very suspicious&quot; since months have passed since the encounter happened.&quot;Sila nagpalabas niyan (video).
