MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. on Tuesday said that he was kept in the dark by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) on the illegal departure of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo from the country.

This, as he revealed that he already has “a very good idea” on who will be sacked from their posts over the incident.

“Definitely,” Marcos said when asked about Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian’s claim that the BI was aware that Guo has already fled the country but kept the information from him.

“DOJ is almost finished with a very thorough investigation and we will identify all of those who are involved in this and we will act very quickly,” he added.

The President earlier vowed that heads will roll over the departure of Guo, adding those who aided her flight will be exposed, suspended “and will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

Marcos vowed that there are no sacred cows in the government’s ongoing probe on the matter.

“Very very good idea, I have a very good idea. From BI, Yeah,” Marcos said when asked whether he has already identified the people responsible.

“Well that's not... that's what the last part of this investigation -- how far how deep does it go, isa lang bang tao ang involved o marami sila sindikato ito. That's what we're looking for. There are no sacred cows.”

Shiela Guo, sister of Alice, told a Senate panel Tuesday that they left the Philippines by boat around the first week of July.
