DICT: More than 20,000 'vulnerabilities' identified in gov't online assets
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said about 20,144 vulnerabilities in online assets have been identified and addressed by government agencies from January to August 2024.

“Before Project SONAR, we have limited visibility into the vulnerabilities and cyber threats. Today the project has provided us with comprehensive insights enabling us to detect more than 20,000 vulnerabilities and address a significant number of incident reports,” Uy said.

The DICT, Uy said, has also audited government institutions and “responded to thousands of incident reports and monitored millions of cybersecurity attacks.”

The agency also processed 598,056 PNPKI applications and issued 266,434 digital certificates essential to secure digital communications.
