MANILA — A total of 2,732 jobs in the government are up for grabs in the upcoming nationwide job fair to be sponsored by the Civil Service Commission, one of its commissioners said Friday.

The vacant posts offered in the nationwide CSC job fair are still expected to increase, said CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada.  

Speaking to Teleradyo Serbisyo’s “Radyo630 Balita,” Lizada enumerated the top available jobs, namely. 

Teacher – 112
Revenue officer – 70
Enumerators – 65
Medical Officer – 61
Customer Assistant – 60

Guidance Counselor – 255
Administrative Aide – 4
Bookbinder – 251
Jail officer – 40
Medical specialist – 36
Nurse –  33

The vacancies are from the Land Bank of the Philippines, Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Education, Department of Finance, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Local government units like Pasig, Batangas, Cebu, and Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya are also hiring, Lizada said.

There are 1,328 available jobs in the government in Metro Manila, Lizada added.

“Dalhin po ninyo ang Personal Data Sheet ninyo, at yung Transcript of Record. Kasi yung iba, hinihingi ng naka-onsite yung Transcript of Records. At baka ho may mga agencies po na magre-request ng proof of eligibility ninyo,” Lizada said.

“Huwag ho kayong magdadala ng isang PDF lang o isang resume nyo lang, sayang. Damihan nyo po. Sabi nga nila, for more chances of winning,” she added. 

The proof of eligibility or Civil Service exam result can now be accessed through the agency’s website, she said.

For female job seekers who are CSC-eligible, a screenshot of the CSC report showing the applicant in the list of exam passers can be shown to interviewers, Lizada said.

Female job seekers should use their maiden name or original surname when checking their CSC record, the official said.

Job applicants can visit the biggest mall at the capital in every region which will serve as home of the CSC job fair from September 2 to 6, Lizada said.

Applicants can just walk in and lodge their intention to apply personally.

As part of the law, applicants will not be discriminated because of their age or physical disability, Lizada said.

“Meron nga tayong batas na dapat 10 percent of your plantilla ay naka-allot for persons with disability,” said the official. 

FREEBIES FOR CIVIL SERVANTS 

The CSC kicks off with its vibe run where they encourage the public to join the fun run with a P250 registration fee.

Fees to be collected will go straight to the "Pamanang Lingkod Bayani" program, which gives financial assistance to family of government workers who die n the line of duty.

For the month of September, government workers will also enjoy different freebies provided that they can show their office identification card, Lizada said.

There will be special activities for government workers every week of September, the official added.

“Visit lang the website of the different regional offices and you will see the different treats there... just show your ID,” Lizada said.
