<div><span data-teams="true" id="isPasted"><span dir="ltr"></span></span></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1725164816631458105262_936034381901549_2160971325557263390_n.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left"><em>PAGASA photo</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA (<strong>UPDATED</strong>) — PAGASA placed many areas in Luzon and Visayas under heavy rainfall and wind signal warnings as Tropical Depression Enteng slightly intensified on Sunday afternoon.</p><p>Tropical Depression Enteng was located 100 kilometers north-northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar at 4 p.m., packing winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 70 kph. </p><p>The storm is moving north-northwestward slower at 15 kilometers per hour. </p><p>While Enteng is seen to remain offshore, it may move close to Luzon and the possibility of a landfall is not ruled out, weather forecaster Grace Castañeda said in a Sunday morning weather broadcast. </p><p>PAGASA placed many areas under <strong>heavy rainfall warning</strong> from Sunday until Tuesday due to the effects of the storm. </p><div><strong>Sunday until Monday noon </strong></div><p><strong>100-200 mm:</strong> Polillo Islands, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, and Samar </p><p><strong>50-100 mm</strong>: Metro Manila, the rest of CALABARZON, Marinduque, Romblon, Eastern Samar, Biliran, and the northern portion of Leyte. </p><div><strong>Monday afternoon to Tuesday noon </strong></div><p><strong>100-200 mm</strong>: Isabela, Cagayan, Abra, Ilocos Norte </p><p><strong>50-100 mm</strong>: Aurora and the rest of Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and mainland Cagayan Valley </p><div><strong>Forecast accumulated rainfall: Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon (4 September) </strong></div><p><strong>100-200 mm</strong>: Babuyan Islands, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, and the northern portion of Ilocos Sur </p><p><strong>50-100 mm</strong>: Batanes, mainland Cagayan, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos Region. </p><p>PAGASA also said that the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat will bring moderate to intense rainfall in other areas of Luzon and Visayas, especially along the islands&#x27; western portions. </p><p>The weather bureau also raised <strong>Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1</strong> in the following areas, where very light or no damage to low-risk structures could be expected. </p><div><strong>LUZON </strong></div><p>The southeastern portion of Cagayan (Baggao, Peñablanca), the eastern portion of Isabela (Palanan, Dinapigue, Divilacan, San Agustin, San Guillermo, Jones, Echague, San Mariano, Maconacon, San Pablo, Cabagan, Tumauini, Ilagan City), the southern portion of Quirino (Nagtipunan, Maddela), the northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dipaculao, Baler), Polillo Islands, the southern portion of mainland Quezon (Tagkawayan, Guinayangan, Buenavista, San Narciso, Mulanay, San Andres, San Francisco, Lopez, Calauag, Catanauan, Gumaca, Macalelon, General Luna, Quezon, Alabat, Perez), Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate including Ticao and Burias Islands </p><div><strong>VISAYAS</strong></div><p>Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Biliran, and the northeastern portion of Leyte (Babatngon, San Miguel, Tacloban City, Alangalang, Santa Fe, Palo, Barugo)</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
