MANILA – The Supreme Court said the second day of the 2024 Bar Examinations on Wednesday was "smooth and successful" despite rains in parts of Metro Manila and provinces.

"As I visited several local testing centers, I witnessed firsthand the fighting spirit of our examinees. I reminded them that #BarNiJLo2024 is designed to be "exacto lang"—neither too difficult nor too easy. I am pleased to inform that Day 2 proceeded smoothly across all centers, with no significant incidents," 2024 Bar chairperson and SC Associate Justice Mario Lopez said.

Lopez, along with SC Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo and other Justices made the rounds in the 13 testing centers nationwide to personally check the conduct of this year's Bar Exams.

They likewise shared "words of wisdom and inspiration" to the aspiring lawyers.

The SC said the exams were on Civil Law, Labor Law, and Social Legislations.

The 2024 Bar Exams began on September 8, with the final day on September 15.

Ahead of the conclusion of this year's examinations, Justice Lopez is hopeful the last day will proceed without any issues.

“As we approach Day 3, despite the looming threat of gloomy weather, I pray for clear skies and unwavering resolve for our examinees as they march towards the last stretch of their #MostValuableLaban. With continued support of everyone involved, we are confident in finishing strong with a truly #MarVeLousBar. Laban lang!" he said.

Over 10,000 aspiring lawyers showed up on the first day of the Bar Exams.

Lopez earlier said the results are expected to be released by early December, while the oath taking and signing of the roll will be in January next year.
