Jeff Caparas, ABS-CBN News </div>MAYNILA — Inutusan ni Makati Mayor Abby Binay ang mga city inspector na suriing mabuti ang mga work permit ng empleyado kasunod ng pagkakabisto ng mga pekeng health certificates ng nasa 50 empleyado ng isang supermarket.&quot;This is a stern reminder that we will not tolerate any actions that compromise the health and safety of our citizens,&quot; sabi ni Binay.Sa report ni Dr. Ronald Unson, City Health Officer ng lungsod, nadiskubre ang 48 indibidwal na may pekeng health clearances nang tingnan ang employee records sa joint inspection sa supermarket.Aminado umano ang management ng supermarket na hindi nila na counter check ang mga dokumento na isinumite sa kanila.Napag-alaman din na nakuha ng mga empleyado ang pekeng health certificate sa isa pang katrabaho at sinisingil sila ng P1,000 para dito.Dagdag ni Unson, nagsuspetsa ang city Veterinary Services Department (VSD) sa mga dokumento na sinubmit ng dalawang “meat handlers” mula sa supermarket na nag-aapply ng “Meat Handler’s Permit.”Kalaunan ay nakumpirma na peke ang mga dokumento nag i-verify sa Makati Health Department at Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO).“It is the responsibility of employers to see to it that their employees strictly comply with health and safety regulations of the city. Allowing workers to commit fraud to skip proper health checks puts the public at risk of contracting infectious diseases,” sabi Unson. Ang health clearance certificate mula sa MHD ay requirement para sa makakuha ng “Individual Mayor’s Permit.” Required naman ang lahat ng Makati-based employee ng pribadong establisimyento at gobyerno na magkaroon nito. Sa ilalim ng City Ordinance 2019-A-102, kailangan lang magbayad ng P80 para sa health clearance certificate ang “non-food-related establishment workers,” P100 para sa “food-related establishment workers,” at P150 para sa “executives, managers, and supervisors.” Kailangan din magbayad ng P50 para sa processing ng dokumento at seminar. Valid sa loob ng isang taon ang health clearance certificate at kailangang i-renew kada taon. Ang mga empleyadong walang health certificates ay papatawan ng P1,000 multa para sa first offense, P2,000 para sa second offense, at P3,000 sa third offense. Ang may-ari ng establisimyento ang sasagot ng mga penalty.Sa ngayon ay pinag-aaralan ng Law Department ng siyudad na sampahan ng kasong kriminal na “falsification of official documents” ang mga gumamit ng mga pekeng dokumento.Nitong Pebrero 2023, inilunsad ng lungsod ang online application para sa pagkuha ng health clearance certificate sa https://makati.healthcert.ph. <div> </div>
