PAGASAMANILA — The southwest monsoon or habagat and tropical depression Gener are forecast to continue to bring moderate to heavy rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas, including to areas already affected by flooding, this week, the state weather bureau PAGASA warned Monday.

Gener may land in the vicinity of Isabela or Aurora within the next 24 hours and may likely emerge over the coastal waters of La Union or Pangasinan Tuesday morning, PAGASA said.

'PULASAN' INTENSIFIES
Pulasan, another weather disturbance being monitored by PAGASA, was located 2,215 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon and intensified into a tropical storm, packing 65 kph winds.
Due to its distant location from the Philippines, it is not expected to directly affect any part of the country, even though it is predicted to briefly enter the northeastern tip of the Philippine area of responsibility.
