MANILA -- State weather bureau PAGASA warned Monday of a potential overflow of La Mesa Dam in Quezon City, which could affect low-lying areas in parts of Metro Manila.

As of 1 p.m., the water level at La Mesa Dam has reached 80 meters and is expected to rise further due to the heavy rainfall from tropical storm Enteng, PAGASA said.

Water from the dam is expected to affect low-lying areas along the Tullahan River in Quezon City (Fairview, Forest Hills Subdivision, Quirino Highway, Sta. Quiteria and San Bartolome), Valenzuela (North Expressway and La Huerta Subdivision), and Malabon.

Enteng, which has dumped rains that submerged parts of the country in floowdwater, was last spotted over the coastal waters of Casiguran, Aurora, PAGASA said in its 2 p.m. bulletin.
