Thunderstom warning hoisted over Metro Manila, 7 other areas

Weather bureau PAGASA has issued a thunderstorm warning over Metro Manila and parts of Central Luzon as of 7:30 am. Monday.

In its advisory, PAGASA said the following areas will experience moderate to heavy rainshowers wwith lightning and strong winds in the next 2-3 hours.

PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio earlier said Southern Luzon all the way to Mindanao will have cloudy to partly cloudy skies with possible thunderstorms this Monday.

Ilocos Region, Apayao, and Abra will have occasional rains brought on by the southwest monsoon while Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due also to the southwest monsoon,

Meanwhile, a Low Pressure Area spotted near the Philippine area of responsibility was estimated based on all available data at 1,155 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon as of 3 a.m.
