MANILA (UPDATED) – Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday said she was “not surprised” that the House of Representatives cut their budget for next year, saying she expected this.In an interview in Zamboanga City, Duterte said as early as August, her office already lowered their expectations for the approval of their P889.24 million budget.This was lowered to P733.2 million, a P156 million or 17.5 percent cut, which Mamamayang Liberal Partylist Representative Leila de Lima proposed to discipline a “brat.”“It’s the same administration, it’s the same Speaker of the House and it’s the same set of characters. Pare-pareho ang narrative nila,” she said.  “Yung mga lumalabas na articles, number 1: pro-China, number 2: brat, number 3: lokaret, crazy. Paulit-ulit lang yan sila at confidential funds.
