MANILA -- Globe is offering free calls, charging and WiFi stations in areas affected by the magnitude 6.9 quake in Cebu.In a statement, Globe said it is opening LIbreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi stations in the following:●Don Celestino Martinez Sr. Sports Complex, Bogo City, Cebu October 1 to 3, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.●Dr. Jose Rizal Park, Bogo City, Cebu October 1 to 3, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.●San Remigio Public Market, San Remigio, Cebu October 1 to 3, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.●San Remigio Public Market (additional site), San Remigio, Cebu October 2 to 4, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.●Daanbantayan Gymnasium, Poblacion, Daanbantayan, Cebu October 2 to 4, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.●Medellin Proper Municipal Hall, Medellin, Cebu October 2 to 4, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Globe also said it is extending payment deadlines and offering free services for quake-affected customers:●Globe Postpaid and GFiber Postpaid: Extended payment due dates for affected areas●GFiber Prepaid: Three-day promo extension for eligible users●Globe Prepaid and TM: Free unlimited calls and texts to all networks, plus 100MB for all apps and 100MB for Facebook and Viber, valid for one day●Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi: Free 5GB open access data for three daysThe telco also said it has restored 72.97 percent of its local network in Bogo City, Daanbantayan, and San Remigio in Cebu.Meanwhile, PLDT and Smart are offering free national direct dial (NDD) calls, WiFi, and charging stations in Mandaue, Jones Avenue, Mactan, and Talisay.The magnitude 6.9 earthquake that rattled Cebu this week has left at least <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/10/3/philippines-ends-search-for-missing-after-deadly-quake-1058" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">P3 billion</a> worth of infrastructure damage in the province, the local government said Friday. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said 68 people died from the quake.
